Do dziś nie wiem co to było... Film z opisu zapowiadał się niezwykle ciekawie, coś na kształt "Zjawy" z nutą mystery jak w przypadku "Duchów z Wenecji". Tymczasem wyszło nudno, przewidywalnie i szczerze mówiąc, gdyby nie jedna z głównych postaci i jej poczucie humoru, to trudno byłoby się doszukać jakiegokolwiek ratunku dla tej propozycji. Kreacja Winstona bo o nim właśnie mowa - to historia postaci, którą odebrałam niezwykle personalnie. Etos człowieka zagubionego, który poszedł na łatwiznę, żeby w jakiś sposób ogarnąć życie i osiągnąć "sukces" w postaci uznania w oczach rodzica. 

Najgorszym elementem tego filmu jest jednak płytkość - już tłumaczę o co mi chodzi. Zdecydowanie skończyła się już era kina, kiedy bohaterowie mogą istnieć bez backstory. Jako widzowie chcemy wiedzieć o nich jak najwięcej, szukać elementów wspólnych. Tymczasem tutaj, trochę z wynikającego  zachowania a z drugiej strony niezbyt znanego powodu, pojawia się i znika (w dość komicznych okolicznościach) postać, która gra bardzo ważną rolę. Moim zdaniem takie charaktery to jedynie element ujmujący fabule i nadzwyczaj denerwujący aspekt - zamiast skupić się na akcji, zastanawiam się skąd też taki bohater się pojawił i dlaczego zachowuje się w taki a nie inny sposób. Jako widzowie musimy walczyć z tym trendem, bo ktoś nie może istnieć tylko po to, żeby istniał.

Szkoda, że po pięknej karierze Mark Wahlberg kończy w takich filmach, choć bez wątpienia wyciągnął z postaci, która przypadła mu w udziale, wszystko co mógł.

Końcówka filmu była zupełnie płytka i bezsensowna - taki "akcyjniaczek" bo trzeba było coś wypuścić a scenariusz na okrętkę, prawie taki sam jak w przypadku wielu, wielu innych filmów.

Ocena: 4/10

Dla osób, które oglądają dużo kina akcji - strata czasu, lepiej poczekać na film w TV.

I am still under the impression that I cannot fully comprehend what has happened in this movie... From the description - I thought it's gonna be epic - just like "The Revenant" with the "Haunting in Venice" mysterious atmosphere. 

But it was the opposite - boring, predictable and if I am being honest, if it wasn't for Winston - one of the main heroes and his sense of humour, it would be very hard to find anything in defense of "Flight Risk".

For me, I do experienced his story on a deeper level as I do see the comparison between us, he is a so-called ethos of a lost person that just has chosen the wrong and easy path, to put his life together and reach a "success" in his parent eyes.

The worst part of the movie is the ubiquitous shallowness - let me explain it further. We are far after the era in the cinematography where we were accepting heroes without their backstory. We do want to feel the connection, search for common elements or simply deduct where a certain behaviour is coming from. 

In "Flight Risk", we have a hero that plays a very important part yet he appears and then disappears in such hilarious conditions that to this point I think it brings shame to the storyline.

I do believe such characters are making viewers angry since while I should be focusing on the action, I am still thinking about: "Where is this person coming from?", "Why he is acting like this?" and so on. One cannot exist simply for the fact of existing.

It's a pity that after such a career, Mark Wahlberg is doing this kind of movies, but there's no doubt he has put everything he had into this character.

The ending was completely shallow and unreasonable - in general it's mediocre and quite boring movie with the scenario like a lot of others.

I give it: 4/10

If you like action movies, it would be better to wait for it in the streaming services.
