Throwback - Kraven the Hunter

Miałam wybrać się na premierę "Kravena", jednak po tym jak naczytałam się recenzji przedstawiających go jako mieszankę nieudanej adaptacji gry video i komediowego humoru, który brzmi jakby pisało go trzyletnie dziecko, zobaczyłam film dopiero przy końcu 2024. 

Przyznam szczerze - rozumiem negatywne opinie dotyczące CGI (myślę, że w niejednym filmie o bajkowych zwierzętach zrobiono to lepiej), natomiast nie rozumiem zarzutów do fabuły. "Kraven" nie jest tylko wypełnionym po brzegi typową "nawalanką" filmem, ale dotyka sfery emocjonalnej głównego bohatera i pokazuje, że często niemożliwe jest, aby całkowicie się oderwać od naszej przeszłości.

Elementy, którymi przesiąkamy za młodu: nasze otoczenie, zachowania osób w stosunku do nas - zapisują się w naszej podświadomości. W związku z tym, kiedy chcemy od tego uciec jak Kraven, wpadamy we własne sidła i zapętlenie - gdyż po prostu nie da się uwolnić od czegoś co jest częścią nas. Kraven chcąc oderwać się od ojca, nieświadomie staje się pewnego rodzaju spełnieniem jego marzeń.

Szczerze wierzę w to, że ten film to dopiero wprowadzenie do historii, które czekają na nas w przyszłości i tak właśnie na "Kravena" należy patrzeć - to początek, zarysowanie pewnego planu. Jestem bardzo ciekawa, czy twórcy wykorzystają multiwersum także przy tej okazji.

"Kraven" jest zdecydowanie lepszy od "Madame Web" czy "Venoma 3", ponieważ wykorzystuje potencjał antagonistów, rozwija trochę ich backstory i co najważniejsze - wreszcie mają szanse w starciu z głównym bohaterem a nie są skazani z góry na porażkę.

Ocena: 6/10 i plus 1 dla Russella Crowe'a.

I wanted to see "Kraven" during the premiere, but I have read such bad reviews online - portraying it as a mix of unsuccessful video game adaptation and comedic dialogue written by the three years old  - so I've seen it by the end of 2024.

I must admit - I do understand the negative comments regarding the CGI effects (I do think that we have seen better in a lot of animations) but I don't get the hate on the plot. "Kraven" is not only another movie about who is going to break more arms and noses but it touches the emotional aspect of human existence. Kraven is an example of how sometimes it is simply impossible to get rid of our past and traumas. 

The elements surrounding us in our youth, even the behaviour of others toward us - are remembered by our subconscious. When we want to cut it down and move forward like Kraven - we fall into the vicious cycle - simply you cannot get rid of someting that is a part of you. Kraven wanted to cut ties with his father and become unlike him but in the end he became the embodiment of his dreams. 

I do think that this movie is just the beginning, an introduction to the stories waiting for us in the future - we should look at "Kraven" as a first step into something. I am very curious if the creators are going to use the multiverse in this case as well.

"Kraven" is so much better than "Madam Web" or "Venom 3" as it uses the potential that the antagonists have - it explains their backstory and for the most important part - they finally have a chance fighting the main hero.

6/10 and +1 for Russell Crowe acting!
