"Babygirl" to nie propozycja dla każdego, bo żeby oglądnąć taki film, trzeba ponad wszystko mieć otwartą głowę na poruszaną w nim tematykę - dotyczącą tego, czego pragnie człowiek.

Temat pożądania i spełniania marzeń/fantazji drugiej osoby niestety wciąż jest tematem tabu, co potwierdzają nerwowe wybuchy śmiechu wśród widowni podczas seansu. Twórcy pomimo doskonałego scenariusza pod kątem dialogów i budowania postaci, sięgnęli po najgorszy z możliwych stereotypów - marzenia i pragnienia mogą mieć jedynie ludzie u władzy - a przecież dotyczy to każdego z nas.

Finalnie, pomimo radości ze zrozumienia siebie i własnych potrzeb, w jednej z kulminacyjnych scen bohaterka przeprasza za to kim jest i jak się czuje... To straszny moment, który tak bardzo obrazuje smutną rzeczywistość.

Zgodnie z panującymi standardami własne myśli lepiej zachować dla siebie, żeby nie wyjść z roli przykładnej matki i żony - a może dałoby się to wszystko pogodzić, gdyby tylko ludzie ze sobą rozmawiali i byli na siebie otwarci?

Poważnym zarzutem w stronę "Babygirl" są poszatkowane sceny, które niezwykle chaotycznie przenoszą widza do kolejnych lokalizacji, w których odgrywa się akcja oraz brak ostrzeżenia przed szybko zmieniającym się światłem podczas scen w dyskotece. Dla wrażliwszych widzów może stanowić to poważny problem.

Czy będę myśleć o tym filmie na końcu 2025? Zdecydowanie nie. 

Patrząc na ekscytujący harmonogram premier, który przed nami, "Babygirl" zniknie nam z pamięci już w pierwszym kwartale roku, a po premierach "Black Bag", (ostatniej?) części "Mission Impossible" czy "Fantastycznej Czwórce" , jedyne co będzie nam o nim przypominać to flagowa piosenka: "Father Figure" od Georga Michaela.

Podsumowując: 8.5/10, warto zobaczyć, żeby wyrobić sobie własne zdanie.

 "Babygirl" is not for everyone, cause if you want to see and experience such a movie - you have to have an open mind to the subject of desire.

Fulfilling the dreams and desires of the other person is still a taboo topic - as during the screening that I have participated in there was a tremendous number of nervous laughter and visible confusion. The creators had an amazing script (dialogs and character developement) but decided to go for the most streotypical version of the story - desire is reserved only for people in possesion of power - whereas it's a thing for each and every one of us. 

In one scene in particular, the main heroine is trying to apologise to her husband for who she is as a person and for her feelings and desires - for me, it was a haunting moment as it portrays the reality that we live in.

According to the rules established in the society you should keep your thoughts and desires to yourself so you won't step out of the perfect mother and wife scheme - or maybe if people just talked with each other there would be a place for both?

What I disliked about the movie was definietly the chaos within the scenes and no given warning about the fast changing lights in one of the scenes - for some viewers this may be very disturbing.

Will I be thinking about this movie by the end of 2025? Absolutely not.

Looking at the premieres that we're waiting for, "Babygirl" will be forgotten by the first quarter of the year. And after such premieres like "Black Bag", (the last?) part of Mission Impossible or "Fantastic Four", the only thing that will remind us about this movie will be the song by George Michael - "Father Figure".

To sum up: 8.5/10 - worth seeing just to establish your own opinion
